38th Australian Dental Congress

08 May 2019

SA Pathology’s Food and Environment Laboratory exhibited at the 38th Australian Dental Congress over 3 days last week.

The bi-annual Congress attracts more than 4000 attendees from across the country and provides an opportunity for SA Pathology to interact with delegates and provide advice on our services, particularly in the areas of water testing and rapid biological indicator testing.

“So many delegates were surprised to hear that SA Pathology is more than just blood testing” said Fil Lagala, Head of Unit at the Food and Environmental Laboratory, “and that we can assist dentists in meeting the requirements of standards 4187 and 4518 and the infection control guidelines as published by the ADA.”

The Dental Board of Australia recently introduced more stringent infection control obligations, presenting an opportunity to raise awareness of the new standards and increase our support to key healthcare services across South Australia.

Well done to the Food and Environment and Marketing teams for raising awareness of these vital services that SA Pathology offers to better support the health and wellbeing of all South Australians.
